This Privacy Statement explains how RISSE® collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you interact with RISSE®, including through the RISSE® website, online assessments, forms and other digital resources.

RISSE® is committed to handling personal information responsibly and in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

Depending on how you interact with RISSE®, we may collect information such as:

  • information you provide when contacting RISSE®

  • information you provide when using the RISSE® web assistant

  • questions, responses and other information you enter into the RISSE® web assistant

  • information you provide when requesting information, resources or services

  • information relating to your interactions with RISSE®

  • information required to provide services to you or your organisation.

Information provided through the RISSE® web assistant may include information about your organisation, business challenges, operations, people, systems, processes, performance or other matters you choose to include in your questions or responses.

We may also collect limited technical information about your use of the website, such as browser or device information, IP address and website usage information, where this is collected through website functionality, analytics or similar technologies.

RISSE® will only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement.

  • complete an online form

  • interact with the RISSE® web assistant

  • enter questions, responses or other information into the RISSE® web assistant

  • request information or resources

  • engage RISSE® for professional services

  • communicate with us by email or other means.

We may also receive information from your organisation or from third-party service providers where this is necessary to provide services or operate our business.

Where personal information is collected indirectly, RISSE® will take reasonable steps to provide any information required under the Privacy Act 2020.

RISSE® Web Assistant and Visitor Information

RISSE® may provide an AI-powered web assistant through the RISSE® website to help visitors explore ideas, understand business challenges, identify potential areas of Hidden Friction™, and access relevant information, insights and resources.

The web assistant may use RISSE®'s proprietary intellectual property, including content from the RISSE® book, RISSE® and Hidden Friction™ methodology, frameworks, models and other resources, to generate responses based on the information and questions provided by the visitor.

When you interact with the web assistant, information you provide may include your name, contact details, information about your organisation, business challenges, systems, processes, people, performance or other information contained in your questions or responses.

This information may be used to:

  • respond to your questions and requests

  • provide information, insights and resources relevant to the information you provide

  • identify potential areas of Hidden Friction™ or related business considerations

  • improve your experience using the RISSE® website and web assistant

  • understand how visitors use the web assistant and the types of information and resources they find useful

  • follow up with you where you have provided contact information and requested or agreed to further communication.

The web assistant's responses are generated based on the information available to it and the information provided by the visitor. Responses are intended to provide general information and insights and should not be treated as professional, legal, financial, accounting, employment or other professional advice.

You remain responsible for assessing the relevance and accuracy of any information or recommendations provided and for any decisions or actions you take as a result.

Information provided to the web assistant

Please do not provide highly sensitive personal information, passwords, security credentials or information that you are not authorised to disclose.

If you choose to provide commercially sensitive or confidential business information, you acknowledge that the information may be processed by the technology and service providers used to operate the web assistant.

RISSE® will take reasonable steps to protect information provided through the web assistant and will handle personal information in accordance with this Privacy Statement and applicable New Zealand privacy law.

RISSE® will not use information provided through the web assistant to identify or publicly disclose an individual or organisation in case studies, marketing or thought leadership material without appropriate consent or another lawful basis.

Information provided through the web assistant will not be treated as creating a client relationship with RISSE®. If you subsequently engage RISSE® for professional services, the confidentiality and other obligations applying to that engagement will be governed by the applicable Client Services Agreement.

The RISSE® intellectual property used by the web assistant remains the property of RISSE®. Interacting with the web assistant does not give you any ownership or licence rights in the RISSE® or Hidden Friction™ methodology, book content, frameworks, models, tools or other RISSE® intellectual property beyond using the information provided to you for your own purposes.

AI, Automation and Technology Platforms

RISSE® may use artificial intelligence, automation, analytics and other technology to support assessments, analysis, research, reporting, workflow analysis and service delivery.

Information provided by clients may be processed through approved technology platforms for the purpose of generating insights, reports, recommendations, workflow analysis or operational assessments.

RISSE® takes reasonable steps to maintain appropriate privacy and security standards.

Who May Receive Your Information

RISSE® may share personal information where reasonably necessary to provide services, operate the business or meet legal obligations.

This may include sharing information with:

  • service providers supporting the RISSE® website or business systems

  • technology, software or AI providers used in delivering services

  • professional advisers

  • contractors or other service providers working on behalf of RISSE®

RISSE® will not sell your personal information.
